MAGDALENA LANGMAN was born in 1992 in Gdańsk. She began learning to play violin when she was 7 at the Feliks Nowowiejski General Primary and Secondary Music School in Gdańsk. She graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Music Schools in Warsaw from the class of Prof. Jan Stanienda. In the years 2013–2014 she was a student of Prof. Pavel Vernikov at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Bergamo. In 2017, she received the title of the Master of Arts in Music in Lausanne, where she studied in the master class of Prof. Renaud Capuçon and François Sochard – his assistant. She has also graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw from the master class of Prof. Konstanty Andrzej Kulka.

Since 2016, Magdalena Langman has been a member of the orchestra Sinfonietta de Lausanne in Switzerland. She also takes part in many concert projects, mainly in Switzerland and Germany, including: The European Philharmonic of Switzerland, The Ensemble Symphonique Neuchâtel, The Orchestre du Festival du Jura.

She participated in many master music courses, at which she worked with the most outstanding artists. The courses included the Summer Academy of the International Chamber Music Festival Allegro Vivo Horn in Austria (Prof. Igor Petrushevski), the Easter Violin Masterclass Blonay, in Switzerland (Prof. P. Vernikov), the Violin Masterclass Bergamo in Italy (Prof. P. Vernikov), the Moritzburg Festival Academy, the Music Festival and Masterclass in Piła (Prof. B. Nizioł) as well as the Summer Music Academy in Lusławice – workshops with Scharoun Ensemble der Berliner Philharmoniker.

She has performed in many European countries, including Austria, Italy, Belgium, Slovakia, Germany (recitals at the invitation of the Deutsch-Polnische Gesellschaft Kiel e.V), France, Switzerland and the United States.

She is a laureate of national and international competitions. Her most important achievements include:

2016 – 1st prize at the International Music Competition “Giovani Musicisti – Citta di Treviso” in Italy,

2014 – 1st prize at the EUPlay International Music Competition in Genoa (in the Impression duo, together with the pianist Klaudyna Ochwat),

2012 – 3rd prize at the Dr. Richard Bellon International Competition for Young Soloists (Sulzbach, Germany),

2011 – the title of “Most Distinguished” at the IBLA GRAND PRIZE International Music Competition in Sicily. As a laureate, she received the main prize – a tour of the USA. The concerts included performances in Virginia, Arkansas and New York – a debut at Carnegie Hall.

Magdalena Langman is also an active chamber musician. Together with a piano trio, she performs regularly in France and Switzerland. She performed at the Chamber Music Festival “Les Vacances de Monsieur Haydn” in La Roche Posay, France. In March 2019, together with a string quintet, she made her debut at the Berlin Philharmonic during the concert series “Lunch Concert.”
